HOME ORGANIZING PROJECT: MASTER CLOSET
Before Video
WHAT’S NOT WORKING:
Our clients were about to have a baby and in major “nesting mode”. They got most of their house in order in preparation for their baby’s arrival, however their walk-in closet had always been a challenge and they needed help.
The space wasn’t being used to it’s potential, with areas either over-crowded or under-utilized. Most things were hard to get to, and the space was not functional overall.
PROJECT GOALS:
create a new system for shoes that would be allow them to be more accessible
replace the current dresser with something that fits the space better
utilize the height of the top shelf to it’s fullest
de-clutter and streamline the hanging clothing
THE HIGHLIGHTS:
Space-saving shoe storage
Uniform hangers
Re-organized the hanging clothing to make better use of the space
De-cluttered the door
Storage for all handbags
Bins for each category of clothing with labels so it’s easy to find
New drawer storage unit
Multi-layered shelving on the top shelf
Client Love:
"My wife and I are expecting a baby very soon. We have been nesting the last few weeks and are home has been looking pretty good. However, our bedroom, particularly our walk-in closet has been pretty neglected. That space was just very difficult for us to organize and remove clutter. We needed help. We were lucky enough to have Sarah from Beautiful Life provide structure and organization to the remaining part of our home before our baby comes. Sarah’s recommendations to our home improvement were creative and clever. During our discussions of what work was needed she set our expectations and when it came time to the actual work our closet came out just as she had described…spectacular! We have better balance and design, which saves me time every morning getting ready! Thanks Sarah and Beautiful Life!"
